"Pretty Little Liars" season 6B will find Hanna (Ashley Bensons), Aria (Lucy Hale), Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Emily (Shay Mitchell) at a different time in their lives. When the show returns on air, the Liars will be five years older than they were during the mid-season finale.
Age is not the only thing that will be different, Bellisario told Entertainment Tonight. Their dynamics will change, too.
"We have new secrets from each other," the actress said. "So the really exciting thing is to get to watch who these people are now, and how they interact now that five years have gone by — and a lot of stuff has happened in those five years."

The character that will have the biggest secret of the season, according to series creator Marlene King, is Emily.
Speaking to Variety, the executive producer said: "I think Emily comes back with the biggest secret ... Emily comes back with a big secret, which we won't spoil."
"She really has two secrets," King explained, adding, "One of the secrets inform the others. Over the course of the time jump, her father passes away unexpectedly and she will have a really difficult time dealing with that."
Hale, on the other hand, assured fans that will be some drama and changes, the girls' friendship will prevail.

"Obviously the show is still going to have the heart of it, which is the friendship between these four girls," Hale said. "They've gone away for five years... but what's still so great is that they're still there for each other and they still love each other."
