After Jana Duggar was prominently featured in the TLC spinoff of "19 Kids and Counting" titled "Jill & Jessa: Counting On," fans clamored for more screen time for the eldest Duggar daughter and they just may have gotten their wish!
According to The Hollywood Gossip, the Duggar family's return to television will showcase Jana Duggar in a larger role than ever before.
For many years, the oldest Duggar daughter spent most of her time in the shadows of her sisters Jill and Jessa Duggar, while they courted, became engaged and eventually married husbands Derick Dillard and Ben Seewald.
During Jana Duggar's appearance on "Jill & Jessa: Counting On," fans witnessed a thoughtful young woman who was eloquent and refreshing, and finally the star of the show.
"The premiere of the upcoming season will show [Jana] opening up about her sentiments on being single," said one production insider close to the Duggar clan to the entertainment website.
Duggar is reportedly seriously looking for a man in her life, one that could take her away from mothering her extended brood of younger brothers and sisters.
"Her younger sisters are already married and have families of their own, which causes her to compare herself to them," the insider reportedly stated to The Hollywood Gossip.
Jana Duggar, the eldest daughter on TLC's reality show "19 Kids and Counting," is reportedly ready to leave the series and her family behind to pursue her own career, much to the horror of her straight-laced family.
The Duggar kids generally stay home and close to their family until a courtship and possible marriage.
The show will reportedly showcase Jana Duggar, as well as her brothers and sisters, as they navigate their new lives without Josh, but with his wife Anna and their children living in their home.
Jana Duggar is reportedly still interested in attending college and being around other young women and men her own age after years of homeschooling and tending to her younger siblings.
"Jana knows she needs to get on with her education if she doesn't want to be stuck at her mom and dad's house in Arkansas forever," a family source said to Radar Online.
TLC has not revealed if they are indeed filming new episodes of "19 Kids and Counting" featuring Jana Duggar to air sometime in 2016.
