After a huge success with “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” and "Tamasha," Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor are reportedly coming together for a new film.
It’s no secret that Padukone and Kapoor share great on-screen chemistry together, and after their steamy performance with Imtiaz Ali’s film, reports are stating that the former love birds are set to come together for the fourth time.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who also produced “Tamasha,” is apparently set to reunite Kapoor and Padukone on-screen again. The script is reportedly ready with the producer, which he has pitched to the actors. Surprisingly, Padukone and Kapoor agreed to work together.
“Mr. Nadiadwala has pitched them some interesting story ideas. Now, it all depends on which script they eventually agree on. Both Ranbir and Deepika have agreed to team up again, but this is just in the initial stages as both actors are busy with prior commitments,” said a source close to the producer, according to Filmi Beat.
However, filming for the movie might not begin until after this summer, when Padukone will be done filming for her Hollywood movie, “XXX” franchise with Vin Diesel. Kapoor also has a busy schedule as he has Anurag Basu’s “Jagga Jasoos” to finish, for which he will be flying to Morocco next month. He will then be busy filming for Ayan Mukerji’s film and then Raj Kumar Hirani’s Sanjay Dutt biopic.
A source close to the project revealed that Nadiadwala is thinking longterm and will make an announcement soon.
“This will be Sajid’s big announcement for next year,” said the source.
Padukone and Kapoor don't let their past relationship get in the way of their work. During an interview, Padukone and Kapoor previously opened up about their past relationship and how they currently remain friends.
