If there is one thing that excites "Suits" star Patrick J. Adams about his character Mike Ross finally going to prison on season 6, it's the fact that he will finally get to work on his "prison body."

"It's that Mike has always sort of been a boy, this sort of child, and now he's going to be forced into a situation where he's really going to have to grow up fast," Adams told Yahoo! TV. "I think it's really exciting to see what happens to somebody when the lie they've been hiding behind for so long is finally gone."

Ironically, Adams thinks that Mike is now "free," even if he has to spend two years in jail.

"Even though he's going to prison, he's free from this thing that he's been living under for so long. He doesn't have to lie anymore," the actor explained.

When asked how long he wants the prison arc to last, Adams said that he is going to be "careful" in his answer.

"This is something I haven't really talked to [show creator] Aaron [Korsh] about. It's tricky with our show. We've got characters who you love, and you love to see them working together," he said. "The last time that Mike was removed from the other characters in the show, when he went to work at the investment firm, we had always imagined that that would be a longer divide, but I think fans really responded very quickly that they didn't love that. We had Mike and Harvey going toe-to-toe for a while, and then they shut it down and brought Mike back into the fold."

Meanwhile, Korsh told The Hollywood Reporter that they haven't decided yet how long Mike should be in prison or if his term will be cut short.

"We're working out the season and how long Mike's going to be in prison, but as it currently stands, he's in prison for a while," he said.

"Suits" season 6 is expected to air in June or July this year.
