New spoilers for "The Flash" season two hinted that Iris West might tell Barry Allen that she is in love with him in episode 20.
Comic Book reported that that CW recently released the official synopsis for episode 20, which is titled "Rupture."
Hunter Zolomon (Zoom) is going to invade Earth-1 with an army of metahumans and will try to take over Central City.
Barry and Earth-2 Dr. Harrison Wells come up with an idea to stop Zoom, but it is incredibly dangerous.
To make matters worse, Barry's father Henry does not want his son to go through with the plan while Detective Joe West thinks he can handle it and this puts the two men at odds.
Meanwhile, Cisco vibes the Earth-2 villain Rupture and is shocked to realize that it is his brother Dante's doppelganger, who wants revenge for Reverb's death.
Iris is also going to try and open up to Barry about her feelings for him, so it will be interesting to see if she finally confesses her love for her best friend by the time episode 20 ends.
The official promotional trailer for "Rupture" also revealed that Dr. Wells is going to re-create the particle accelerator explosion in order for Barry to regain his speed.
It will be interesting to see if the second particle accelerator explosion turns Caitlin into a metahuman and she starts down the path to becoming Earth-1 Killer Frost.
Aside from Iris possibly confessing her feelings for Barry in episode 20, "The Flash" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg hinted to TVLine that fans are going to be shocked when they learn the identity of the mysterious man in the iron mask.
"Honestly, the two things I'm probably proud of the most this season is the introduction of Earth-2 Dr. Harrison Wells and the identity of the man in the iron mask," he said. "The reveal in the season finale is going to be mind-blowing."
Some fans have theorized that the masked man is the real Jay Garrick or possibly even Earth-2 Henry Allen.
Either way, viewers will finally learn the identity of the man in the iron mask by the end of the season two finale.
"The Flash" is currently airing on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
