"Fuller House" star Candace Cameron Bure, who plays the beautiful blonde DJ Tanner in the series, says that romance will be on the air for season 2. Unfortunately, her character will not be wooed by anyone because both her suitors Steve Hale (Scott Weinger) and Matt Harmon (John Brotherton) have found new loves.
"I'm not sure-If Steve and Matt both have girlfriends," she told E! News. Bure said that Steve and Matt's unavailability might make them desirable for DJ, who turned them both down during the season 1 finale.
"It might change her feelings. You know how once something's unavailable that you think is and you're like, 'Hmm, maybe I missed out on something, maybe I should rethink this.' I think that's going to be one of the big storylines," she said.
Steve has found a DJ clone named CJ, while Matt will have a girlfriend as well.
As to when season 2 will start airing, Bure's co-star John Stamos, who plays Jesse Katsopolis in the series, said that they are working on it as fast as they can.
"They actually sort of put a rush on it. I don't think they've announced the dates, but they're going to be a lot sooner than we released last year's," he told E! News.
"Last year we had a very fast prep time to get the scripts and stories done. This year we got ahead of it and I think, out of the 13 I feel like there's already like 10 scripts done," Stamos continued. "The writers are really working hard over there and they're great."
The actor added that they are going "full steam" ahead for season 2, and it's easier now because they already know all the movements of the cast and their respective characters.
The release date for "Fuller House" season 2 is yet to be announced.
