Former "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" star Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon, who came out as bisexual in 2015, has announced her engagement to her boyfriend. Shannon is just 16-years-old.
The reality star announced her sexual preference during an interview with Inside Edition.
"I'm attracted to females, and I'm attracted to males. You cannot hide who you truly are," Lauryn Shannon revealed.
Pumpkin announced the happy news on her official Instagram page by posting a photo of the ring.
She also took on her haters before they had a chance to comment negatively on her happy news.

"YES I am engaged at the age 16 with Josh Efird," she penned.
"If you aren't happy then please don't comment. If you don't agree with it then don't comment okay. Me & Josh are getting married once I turn 18. For those of you saying that we won't last please let us prove you wrong. I've never in my life felt the love I do for this young man for anyone," Shannon continued.
"Josh has his ducks in a row. He has his own business, he has his own car, and he treats me with the respect I deserve. So once again please un-friend me if you do not agree with it," the former reality star shared on the social media page.
June Shannon, Lauryn's mother and star of WeTV's "Marriage Boot Camp" has not commented publicly on her daughter's engagement.
But there is one person speaking out against the union and that is a member of Lauryn Shannon's boyfriend's family.
Efird's grandmother spoke to Radar Online and revealed that she thinks the couple are just too young to take such a big step.
Lauryn Shannon is still in high school. Efird is a full-time mechanic.
The two began dating in March 2015. Efird popped the question in Jan. 2016.
Efird's grandmother Linda Efird stated to the website, "Pumpkin is a really nice girl"- but she's uneasy about the impending nuptials.
"I think they're too young for marriage," Efird's grandmother revealed. "I hope they have a long engagement."
She did stress to Radar Online that she felt Pumpkin and Josh "loved each other." "She's very sweet," she said of Mama June's second youngest daughter. "And I love my grandson."
The Shannon family, including Lauryn, Jessica, Alanna, June and Mike "Sugar Bear" will be returning to reality television some time later in 2016.Mike "Sugar Bear" will be returning to reality television some time later in 2016.
