After Hrithik Roshan and Suzanne Khan announced their divorce, many hoped to see Bollywood’s favorite couple get back together. While that may not happen anytime soon, it looks like the possible reason for the couple's split has been revealed.
Previous rumors rounded that Roshan and Khan divorced due to his alleged affair with Kangana Ranaut. After being asked about his alleged romance in the past, he completely denied it.
“Oh my God! What should I say about it!” said Roshan previously, according to India Today.
However, this time, it looks like Ranaut revealed the truth behind the rumors, hinting that she was in a relationship with Roshan.
During an interview with Pinkvilla (via Zee News), Ranaut reportedly called Roshan her “ex.” When she was asked about why Roshan asked the makers of his upcoming film “Aashiqui 3” to drop her from the lead cast, she said that she doesn’t understand why “exes do silly things to get attention.” She also added that she doesn’t dig graces on exes and has “closed the chapter.”
Now that Ranaut confirmed that she had a private affair with Roshan, why didn’t their romance work out?
“Kangana is upset because Hrithik is making her look like a stalker who chased him,” said a source to Bollywood Life. “But the fact is that he too was equally involved and there is no denying that. Her recent outburst only came when he started making statements implying that they were never together.”
For someone who is just coming out of a divorce, Roshan didn’t want to associate himself with anything controversial, especially a new relationship. However, Roshan nor Ranaut are going to back off from the present scenario.
“Kangana has always been very honest and open about her life. She definitely won’t hold back from spilling the beans and opening a can of worms if she has to,” added the source.
Roshan announced Khan’s decision to end their marriage during a press conference on Dec. 13, 2014, just a few days before their 13th marriage anniversary.
“Suzanne has decided to separate from me and end our 17-year relationship,” said Roshan. “This is a very trying time for the entire family and I request the media and the people to grant us our privacy at this time.”
“I do not wish this news to disempower my fans and the people about the institution of marriage in any way,” continued Roshan. “I am a firm believer in this institution and respect and honor it at the highest level.”
