Sad news for Kesha. The singer was hoping to see an end to her legal battle, but she will have to wait a little bit longer to learn the fate of her case.
Kesha's lawsuit against longtime producer Dr. Luke, who she sued in 2014 for sexually assaulting and abusing her, was scheduled to head to court Tuesday, Jan. 26, in New York. During this court date, Kesha was to learn if she would be released from her contract with Dr. Luke, which was what she asked for in the lawsuit. However, the recent blizzard that hit the East Coast forced the court date to be pushed back.
"I love everyone. Thank you for your support. Due to travel problems with the weather it's been postponed until feb 19," Kesha confirmed in an Instagram caption.
Kesha's court date had been known for quite some time, so her fans, whom she refers to as "animals," planned to campaign for her freedom from her contract with Dr. Luke outside the courthouse. Since the original court date was pushed back, Kesha's fans' travel plans were ruined. Kesha felt remorseful about this, so she sent out an emotional apology to her fans on Instagram.
"Tears because I know my animals spent time and money and love and effort to come support me and I cannot help in any way. I'm so sorry," the "Tik Tok" singer captioned the Instagram post. "I just spent the past hour reading about everyone and how much effort they went to to come and I'm heartbroken and I'm so sorry;((( I wish I could control this somehow but I can't and it's so frustrating..."

Kesha has shown her gratitude for her fans quite a bit over the past few weeks. Since she is still under contract with Dr. Luke and cannot release new music, Kesha decided to sing a cover of "Amazing Grace" for her fans.
"I love you guys, more than you will ever know," Kesha said in the clip, which is posted below. "I can't put out new music, but I can sing a little something of someone else's songs or something that exists."
Kesha will head to court for her sexual assault case on Friday, Feb. 19.
