Prince George’s nursery school friends will be visiting his home at Anmer Hall for playdates, new reports say.
The two-year-old began attending a local Montessori school, Westacre, earlier this month. Reports say that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William are determined to create as normal a childhood for George as possible -- which means some of his young friends will be visiting him at home, but they’ll be cleared by security first.
“Kate and William will be getting involved in Prince George's nursery life,” a source told Bella magazine (via Belfast Telegraph). “They won't ever want him to feel isolated or different from the other children, so that means plenty of playdates with his classmates.
“Kate and William are very sociable and want to get involved in all aspects of his nursery life, which includes meeting his new friends. There would be security checks on parents coming into their home and personal 'family areas' of the estate would be out of bounds, but there are plenty of communal areas where George's friends can visit. “
That security is apparently needed: the Daily Express reports that Westacre has been inundated with calls from parents who want their children to attend school with Prince George.
The source added, “Montessori focuses on social development and independence as well as education. Children are encouraged to choose whatever activity suits them, and then the teacher is there to be a guide.
“As George gets older there will be constraints in his life, so this is a great start where he will get independence and freedom. He needs to have as much freedom as possible for as long as possible. This method of education gives a child a strong sense of what they like and dislike, which should give him the confidence he'll need as our future monarch.”
