AMC recently released a new teaser trailer from "The Walking Dead" midseason premiere that hinted at the death of a main character.
According to Comic Book, the teaser for "No Way Out" revealed that the midseason premiere is going to pick up where the finale left off.
The new preview shows Sasha Williams trying to reason with the Saviors while Abraham Ford and Daryl Dixon watch their new foes warily.
For those of you that haven't read the original comics, the Saviors are a gang lead by a character called Negan. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is set to play the group's leader and he is going to be making his appearance on "The Walking Dead" soon.
One gang member tells Daryl and his friends that they normally just shoot people on sight. He then raises his gun and prepares to shoot, despite Sasha's pleas.
However, despite the tense teaser, it does not appear as if Daryl is going to die in the midseason premiere.
Cinema Blend noted that "The Walking Dead" executive producer Scott Gimple promised fans that they'd see a lot more of Daryl in the second half of season six.
"We put Norman through his paces," he said. "He's very scary in this back half, but there are a couple of moments where he made me laugh out loud. There is a whole lot of Daryl and a wide variety of Daryl."
It is possible that Negan's gang kills either Sasha or Abraham in the midseason premiere and Daryl will return to Alexandria in the hopes of plotting revenge against the Saviors.
Aside from Daryl's fate, "The Walking Dead" star Lauren Cohen recently sat down to do a Reddit question-and-answer session for her new movie "The Boy" and gave a few tidbits about the second half of season six.
According to Comic Book, the actress warned fans that the last eight episodes of "The Walking Dead" season six are going to keep viewers on the edge of their sears.
"The back half of 'The Walking Dead' season six is grueling, fast, and blindsiding," Cohen said during the question-and-answer session with her fans.
"The Walking Dead" midseason premiere will air on Sunday, Feb. 14, at 10 p.m. on AMC.
