"Arrow" star Emily Bett Rickards recently revealed in a new interview that there is a good chance Felicity Smoak and Oliver Queen will mend their broken relationship in an upcoming episode.
In "Arrow" season four, episode 16, Felicity Smoak found out that her fiancé Oliver Queen has a son named William Clayton after Damien Darhk kidnapped the little boy.
After William was rescued by the Green Arrow and reunited with his mother, Felicity made the decision to take a break because she realized Oliver still has not learned it is not wise to keep secrets from his loved ones.
Even though Oliver and Felicity's relationship is currently on hold, Rickards told Entertainment Weekly that there's still a chance the two characters will reconcile their differences in an upcoming episode.
"I think they are each other's soulmates," she explained. "I don't think it's easy to let go of someone that you have a shared such a deep connection with, even if they were hiding things from you. She might be able to take off the ring, but I don't know if she can lose the intertwined connection of her heart."
Rickards added to E!Online that during their time away from each other, Felicity is going to have to figure out whether she can accept that Oliver's first instinct will always be to keep secrets, even though he really loves her.
"She has to figure out whether or not she's willing to risk the fact that he's going to do it again," the actress said. "In her mind, I think she feels like he will always be put in a situation where she's going to have to either be digging for the truth or accepting the fact that she might not get it all, but knowing he still loves her. What is worth more?"
Despite the breakup, Screen Rant pointed out that "Arrow" executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently tweeted an image of Oliver and Felicity at their wedding.
He revealed that that the upcoming wedding scene is not going to be a dream sequence, a flash-forward, a hallucination or an alternate reality.
Therefore, it is possible that Oliver and Felicity will get back together at some point before the season finale.
However, since the villain Cupid is also slated to return in an upcoming episode, there is always the chance that the couple performed a fake wedding in order to catch the arrow-wielding criminal.
"Arrow" season four will return from its hiatus on March 23 at 8 p.m. on the CW.
