Traditionally, the Marc Jacobs show at New York Fashion Week is the finale of a jam-packed schedule of shows, presentations, street style moments, and breaking runway news. It's New York's way of passing the torch to London, as the fall 2016 collections continue across the pond. And, as farewell parties require, Jacobs' show rarely disappoints. Between the staging, soundtrack, and—of course—the clothing, Marc Jacobs is a can't-miss each season.
As we bid adieu to New York and travel on to London, Milan, and Paris fashion weeks that follow, let's take a deep dive into Marc Jacob's incredible show. We've rounded up the can't miss moments right here.
The calm before the storm. It's Marc Jacobs' stark white set before the guests arrive.

Anna Wintour sat front row with daughter Bee Shaffer, showing her Hillary Clinton support in the T-shirt Jacobs designed for the campaign.
Other celebs sitting front row included Maggie Gyllenhaal, Sofia Coppola, and Emily Ratajkowski.
The soundtrack was near-silence, with only xylophone-like bells ringing every few moments.

The silhouettes were oversized, for the most part: the collection was full of full mid-length skirts, coats with exaggerated shoulder shapes, and sleeves that hung well past models' fingers. In deep black, purple, and green hues; contrasted by the pale faces and dark lips of each model; the collection was certainly gothic-inspired.
With a ghostly feeling, attendees were transported to a Beetlejuice-Inspired world full of feathers, leather, and lace—all expertly crafted into everything from evening dresses to sweatshirts. Other highlights included giant neck-bows, embellished cropped jackets, and perfectly tailored wide-leg trousers.
The shoes were Lady Gaga-esque platform heels, which seemed only appropriate as the singer walked in the show! (More on that later...) Models were cast with specific attention to their ability to walk in these truly head-turning creations.
Lady Gaga walked like a pro in an oversized coat and green blouse, sporting blonde hair and makeup that reminded us of her David Bowie tribute at the Grammy's.
Gaga and Kendall Jenner closed the show, side-by-side.

Jacobs took a bow in a tailored suit, styled with a sequin version of his Clinton T-shirt.
