"Grandfathered" star Christian Milian will play Magenta the castle maid in Fox's small-screen adaptation of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the casting.
In the television production, Magenta, along with her brother Riff Raff (Reeve Carney), plot a secret plan to return to their native planet of Transsexual that involves many of the castle's inhabitants including Frank-N-Further, Eddie, Brad, Janet, and Columbia.
Milian joins the already-in-place cast that includes Laverne Cox, Victoria Justice, Ryan McCartan, Adam Lambert, Staz Nair, Annaleigh Ashford and original film star Tim Curry, who will narrate.
The actress currently stars on Fox's "Grandfathered" as Vanessa, the love interest of Josh Peck's Gerald E. Kingsley.
Kenny Ortega ("High School Musical") will direct, executive produce and choreograph the two-hour television remake of the 1975 cult classic, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In addition to Ortega's involvement, Gail Berman, and Lou Adler, who produced the original film, are also involved as executive producers.
The special will be produced by Fox 21 Television Studios, and Berman's The Jackal Group.
The special will air in time to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the film.
The cult classic has grossed more than $112 million and still plays in theaters across the country.
It's original budget upon filming in 1975 was $1.4 million.
The iconic tale that originated from a London play follows sweethearts Janet (Justice) and Brad (McCartan), who stumble upon Dr. Frank-N-Furter's (Cox) castle looking for a phone to call for help after their car breaks down.
Dr. Frank-N-Furter is a transvestite mad-scientist who was holding a Transylvanian science convention at the castle to showcase the birth of "Rocky Horror" (Nair), created to fulfill his ever sexual desire.
Production reportedly begins in Toronto in March, according to Entertainment Weekly.
"The Rocky Horror Picture Show" will air on Fox in the fall of 2016.
