"Hollywood Divas" star Elise Neal has reportedly walked off the set of the TV One series after sustaining a serious injury to her head while filming season three of the popular series.
The actress told TMZ the injury occurred when she was filming a scene at a bowling alley and a light fixture broke and knocked her on the head.
"Neal says producers were heartless and told her she needed to finish shooting the scene. She claims production tried to cover up the accident and then just filmed like it never happened," TMZ reported.
According to Neal, "Hollywood Divas" refused to pay her medical bills, which included the cost of x-rays and MRIs.
Wet Paint reported that producers of "Hollywood Divas" told Neal after the accident that she needed to finish her scene.
Hollywood Divas ran for two seasons on the TV One network and also featured Paula Jai Parker, Golden Brooks, Countess Vaughn and Lisa Wu.
The show premiered in October 2014 and its second season finale aired on September 16, 2015.
Neal is best known for playing Yvonne Hughley opposite comedian D.L. Hughley in the TV sitcom "The Hughleys" for four seasons.
The series was championed by TV One and its producers from its origins.
"TV One's audience has a passion for programming that reveals the private stories behind the public lives of Black artists," said D'Angela Proctor, SVP Programming and Production, TV One.
"The Hollywood Divas' willingness to share their, experiences with inequality and obstacles when it comes to the Hollywood merry-go-round is the foundation of this series. How these women are personally affected by this phenomenon and how they individually handle the pressure, is where the Hollywood Diva stories begins," Proctor said in a statement on the show's official website of the production.
"We are excited to be a part of the TV One family on this groundbreaking series about the lives of Black Actresses in Hollywood," remarked executive producers Carlos King and Todd Tucker. "Our goal is to continue the success of capturing compelling stories about women from all walks of life."
"Hollywood Divas" is currently in production for season three to air on TV One.
