"Pretty Little Liars" season 6 has introduced a few new pairings in Rosewood, but some fans still want a couple of the old couples back together.
One pairing that fans still want to see is Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Alison (Sasha Pieterse). The two never became officially together but there was always something special between them, and series creator Marlene King thinks there still might be something between the two.
When asked by a fan if she thinks Emily still has feelings for Alison, King answered: "You will need to wait and see. But it feels like it lately."
Another fan asked the same question and King answered teasingly about waiting to see how things will unfold onscreen.
Mitchell also teased something special for fans of Emily and Alison during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
"Emison fans - I think they're gonna have fun this next season seeing what me and Sasha are getting up to and what are characters are doing," the actress said. "I think they're going to be happy with it."
Pieterse also talked about the possibility of her and Mitchell's characters ending up together.
Speaking with MTV UK, the actress said, "It's hard to say, [but] our creator Marlene always puts it perfectly. She says that no matter what, Alison and Emily will always have a special connection and a special bond and it's a flame that will never be put out. I think that goes for your first love and someone you've been connected to for so long."
Pieterse added: "It's hard to say, but I know that Marlene has plans. You'll see even in this half of the season, even though Alison's moved on and Emily's moved on as well. There's still love for one another there and there it's friendship right now... maybe it will be more later."
