The CW recently released the promotional trailer for "The Flash" season two, episode 12 as well as the official synopsis for "Escape From Earth-2," which hints that Barry Allen will confront Zoom in the villain's lair in episode 14.
The promotional trailer for "Fast Lane" revealed Barry is going to go up against a metahuman named Tar Pit, who has the ability to drown his victims in asphalt.
While Barry attempts to defeat this new metahuman, Earth-2 Dr. Wells will be forced to either steal the Flash's speed or defy Zoom and risk the evil speedster killing his daughter Jesse.
It will be interesting to see if Dr. Wells will betray Barry or if he will double-cross Zoom in order to help Team Flash defeat their enemy.
Aside from the new promotional trailer for "The Flash," the CW released the official synopsis for episode 14.
According to Comic Book, "Escape From Earth-2" will revolve around Barry and the team attempting to find Zoom's lair and they will be forced to ask for help from an unlikely source.
Given the fact that Earth-2 Caitlin Snow (Killer Frost) and Ronnie Raymond (Deathstorm) will make an appearance in episode 13, it is possible that Barry knocks them unconscious and when they wake up in episode 14, asks them to help him find Zoom's lair.
If they agree, then there's a good chance that Barry will try to save Dr. Well's daughter Jesse by confronting the villain on his own turf.
Back on Earth-1, Caitlin Snow will be forced to race against time in order to perfect the speed-enhancing drug Velocity-9 so that Jay Garrick can defeat a metahuman named Geomancer.
Finally, "The Flash" star Tom Cavanagh revealed that he knows Zoom's secret identity and hinted the reveal will shock loyal fans.
Comic Book reported that Cavanagh admitted to DC All-Access that he knows who is wearing the Zoom suit.
"It's awesome," the actor said. "It's one of the best things we've done."
Some of the popular fan theories for "The Flash" suggested that Zoom could either be Earth-2 Henry Allen or even Jay Garrick in disguise.
"The Flash" season two is currently airing on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. on the CW.
