Victoria Beckham has been through a major fashion transformation. If you compare her recent looks with what she wore as Posh Spice, well, it's insane, but we're most interested in the subtle ways she's been changing up her wardrobe as of late. The designer stepped out for a bow after presenting her fall 2016 collection in crisp white sneakers, and she's said it's indicative of how she really likes to get dressed.
"I think people saw the real me when I came out in a pair of men's trousers, a roll-neck, and trainers," she told The Telegraph. "I just can't do heels anymore. At least not when I'm working, [and] I travel a lot. Clothes have to be simple and comfortable."
The post-show outfit wasn't an oddity for Beckham (and we know sneakers are part of what her hubby likes to see her wearing most). They've replaced the spindly stilettos she lived in during the '00s and the sleek but sky-high choices she was seen in more frequently a few years ago. Take the black and white outfit she wore in London yesterday, ready for classic pumps but finished instead with slip-on kicks. And in New York the day before her show, she stepped out in a combo that looked nearly identical to what she wore on the runway.
Ready for a VB flashback? Check out the mum in her once-signature heels (including a shot of her when she was still mostly known as Posh Spice, posing on a 2004 red carpet alongside David).
From sneakers to walkable mid heels, it's become apparent that the fashion flock is embracing shoes that don't kill your feet.
