It’s no secret that Padukone and Kapoor share great on-screen chemistry together after seeing their steamy performance in Imtiaz Ali’s film, "Tamasha" and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani." After a surprising breakup from Katrina Kaif, Kapoor has been flying solo and apparently wants to get together with Padukone again.
Kapoor reportedly calls up Padukone quite frequently and she makes sure to talk to him during the shooting breaks. According to Mid Day (via India TV), Kapoor is trying his best to connect with Padukone again.
“He is keeping himself distracted by staying engrossed in work and catching up with friends once in a while. He regularly calls up his ex-girlfriend and co-star to talk about all that’s happening in his life and find out what she is up to,” said a source. “He has also told her that he is impressed with how her career is headed at the moment. Although she is dating someone and busy with her own work commitments, she has been entertaining him.”
The source continued, "She is extremely fond of him, despite the fact that their break-up years ago had left her shaken. He calls her up frequently, and she makes it a point to speak to him during breaks in between shoot. No one knows what exactly is on the actor's mind since he is still nursing a broken heart. But he is definitely trying to find some solace in his ex-flame.”
In the mean time, Producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who also produced “Tamasha,” is apparently set to reunite Kapoor and Padukone on-screen again. The script is reportedly ready with the producer, which he has pitched to the actors. Surprisingly, Padukone and Kapoor agreed to work together.
“Mr. Nadiadwala has pitched them some interesting story ideas. Now, it all depends on which script they eventually agree on. Both Ranbir and Deepika have agreed to team up again, but this is just in the initial stages as both actors are busy with prior commitments,” said a source close to the producer, according to Filmi Beat.
