"Late Night With Seth Meyers" host Seth Meyers and wife Alexi Ashe welcomed a baby boy who has a surprising connection to former "Full House" star Ashley Olsen.
The child, who was born two weeks early, was named Ashe Olsen Meyers.
The baby boy was named via a combination of both is wife and mother's maiden names, reported The Huffington Post.
Meyers revealed during the March 30th episode of "Late Night with Seth Meyers" that the name was a way to honor the two most important women in his life.
But the irony of the moniker was not lost on Meyers, who revealed that other people are taking notice to the baby's name being eerily like that of the "Full House" star.
Said Meyers on the episode, "A couple of people have said to us, 'Ashe Olson, do you think people will think you named him after Ashley Olsen?'"
Meyers then quipped, "To them I said, 'No one will think that because I've long been a Mary-Kate guy.'"
The former "Saturday Night Live" head writer and "Weekend Update" host then shared the hilarious story of Ashe's birth.
Meyers explained that after sharing a Sunday brunch, Meyers' wife started getting contractions.
Her water then broke, leading Meyers to laugh, "Wow. It sounds like what water would sound like if it broke."
The host then revealed the couple took an Uber to the hospital to find most of the staff there donning Easter-themed bunny ears.
Meyers then explained that upon the birth of Ashe Olson Meyers, "The weird thing is that you're just not a parent ... and then you are," he added. "It takes your brain a couple hours to catch up to that."
"Late Night With Seth Meyers" airs at 12:30 a.m. EST on NBC.
"Full House" airs in reruns nightly on Nickelodeon.
