"Game of Thrones" star Maisie Williams recently sat down to discuss her character Arya Stark's arc in the upcoming sixth season and she hinted that the assassin-in-training is going to battle depression.

Watchers On The Wall reported that Williams admitted that Arya is going to struggle with depression as she goes through a difficult process and will be close to giving up for good.

"This season Arya gets really broken," the actress said. "She goes through a really difficult process and she is totally stripped back. This time it is a lot more physical. We've never seen her come this close to giving up."

William's co-star Tom Wlaschiha, who plays Arya's mentor Jaqen H'ghar, added that his character is going to be unsympathetic to his pupil's struggles. He also hinted that the Faceless Man could have his own agenda in training the young woman to be an assassin.

"I'm not sure that my character is a fatherly figure," he warned. "Maybe Jaqen has a secret agenda of his own. He might pursue his own goals."

Meanwhile, "Game of Thrones" star Carice Van Houten recently sat down to discuss her character Melisandre's role in the upcoming sixth season.

Winter Is Coming noted that Van Houten revealed Melisandre is going to struggle with her shaken faith in her god R'hllor because her visions of Stannis Baratheon being the reincarnation of the ancient hero Azhor Ahai did not come to pass.

"She's been on this mission and all of a sudden it makes no sense and Shireen Baratheon's sacrifice didn't work," the actress explained. "But I think it is slowly getting to her that she might have been slightly wrong about things, so that's where we leave her in season five and that is definitely where she starts in season six."

Van Houten also hinted that Melisandre might bring Jon Snow back from the dead, but it might not occur in the way many fans hope it will.

"Something big is in store for Melisandre, but it is not what you think," she said. "What you're fishing for, it is something else."

The "Game of Thrones" season six premiere will air on Sunday, April 24, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
