Well, look who’s stepping up to the modeling major leagues. Yesterday, mega-agency IMG announced that Hailey Baldwin has signed a global contract with their gilded model division, which boasts a roster including Karlie Kloss and the sisters Hadid. This should come as no surprise to the Insta-fluent, as the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin (and niece of Alec) has been exhibiting serious social media game for the last year, managing to keep up with her supermodel cohort and reigning queen Kendall Jenner.
This is hardly Baldwin’s first foray into playing muse: the 19-year-old fronted Topshop’s denim campaign last summer, is currently the face of Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply, and has been shot for international magazines like LOVE and Self-Service. What this means for Hailey’s future is everything—think of all the catwalks and buzzy campaigns this news could foreshadow (to date, her only runway credits include Topshop Unique and Sonia Rykiel in sporadic seasons).
With IMG’s renown prestige in the industry, we predict she’ll rack up a beauty deal and brand endorsement in a matter of seasons. Having been a competitive ballerina growing up, we know two things: she has the grace to pull it all off.
