After Hrithik Roshan and Suzanne Khan announced their divorce, many hoped to see Bollywood’s favorite couple get back together. While that may not happen anytime soon, it looks like the possible reason for the couple's split has been revealed.
Previous rumors circulated that Roshan and Khan divorced due to his alleged affair with Kangana Ranaut. After being asked about his alleged romance in the past, he completely denied it.
“Oh my God! What should I say about it!” said Roshan previously, according to India Today.
After Ranaut filed a lawsuit against Roshan, he reopened the fake email case and fired back with an FIR against her. He is accusing Ranaut of creating a fake email address in his name and interacting with his fans.
According to Filmi Beat, on Dec. 12, 2014, Roshan filed a complaint about an unknown person using the email ID hroshan@email.com and talking to his fans. Roshan reportedly visited the Mumbai Police on March 25 to file an FIR against Raunaut.
Roshan didn’t give in Ranaut’s name at first because the police would be summoning her to the station about the case. However, now that he has filed a FIR, Mumbai police’s cyber crime police station has issued summons on Ranaut asking her to visit and record her statement.
A source from the cyber police department told Bollywood Life, “An FIR is filed under Section 66 (C, D) of IT Act and Section 419 of IPC. We have attached Hrithik’s statement in the FIR. Thousands of mails have been exchanged between her and the said e-mail [ID]. Kangana’s sister is a witness to the incident. So, her statement is important, too. Hrithik has claimed it is not his email ID and an imposter was using it, while Kangana said it is Hrithik who was operating the said mail.”
Ranaut previously filed a lawsuit against Roshan after he also filed claims against her and asked for an apology. Just a few hours after Roshan gave out a statement to the media on the alleged affair, Ranaut’s legal team also sent out a statement on the whole issue.
Ranaut’s lawyer claims that all Roshan is trying to do is gain public sympathy, therefore making false statement and that Ranaut doesn’t need Roshan’s name for publicity.
"He needs to immediately realise that my client Ms. Kangana Ranaut does not need Mr. Hrithik Roshan's name to garner publicity or attention, as she is a renowned public figure herself. I sincerely hope that the matter ends here and better sense prevails," concluded the statement.
However, it looks like Roshan is willing to set all the drama aside, and patch things up with Ranaut.
“Hrithik now seems to want to settle the matter out of court. He has been sending feelers to Kangana,” said a source to Bollywood Life, adding that we have yet to hear from Ranaut, who refuses to withdraw her charges against Roshan.
Mumbai Mirror reported contents of Roshan and Ranaut’s legal notices. It stated that his legal team had alleged that the actress sent him 1439 emails, which were “senseless, personal and absurd.” His notice also claimed that Ranaut suffered from Asperger’s syndrome for which the actor had faced flak.
