On March 20, the fashion industry's elite and VIP guests gathered for the 2016 Daily Front Row Fashion Awards in Los Angeles, Calif.
Honoree Lady Gaga was one of the stars in attendance and hit the red carpet rocking a gorgeous metallic-printed Saint Laurent dress. That evening, the singer and actress was awarded the Editor of the Year Award for her work with V Magazine.
To accompany her winning sartorial look, Gaga sported a smoky, coppery eye and metallic-flecked lips. Maybelline New York makeup artist Sarah Nicole Tanno created the look exclusively for the celeb. "There is this beautiful copper tone in the Saint Laurent dress I couldn't take my eyes off. I wanted to bring it up to the lids," Tanno explained in a press release.

Skin
For Gaga's complexion, Tanno began with a layer of Fit Me! Matte and Poreless Foundation, and for a flawless finish she used Fit ME! Matte and Poreless Powder in Translucent. Tanno applied the powder in Gaga's T zone to "keep the skin looking airbrushed but still allowing a natural glow in all the highlight areas," she explained.
For a hint of warmth, Tanno then applied Facestudio Master Hi-Light in Pink Rose to the apples of the celeb's cheeks. Bronzer and illuminator from the NEW Facestudio Master Contour Face Contouring Pro Palette was then used to exaggerate Gaga's gorgeous high cheekbones.
Eyes
For Lady Gaga's show-stopping eyes, Tanno used Eyestudio Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil in Striking Copper all along the musician's upper and lower lash lines, blending it out on top for a full-on copper effect. After a coat of NEW Lash Sensational Luscious Washable Mascara in Blackest Black, Tanno then applied a full set of fake lashes for added drama.
Brows
To perfectly frame Gaga's copper-hued eyes, Tanno styled and filled her brows with an Eyestudio Brow Pomade Crayon.
Lips
"Usually I wouldn't do a shiny lip with metallic eyes but it worked with this dress and this night," Tanno explained of going full-metal shine for Gaga's lips. "Once I saw the gown, I knew I had to go all the way."
Tanno achieved the signature lip color by custom-blending a shimmery mauve lip color from a combination of Color Sensational Lip Liner in Rose, Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick in Nude Flush and Color Sensational High Shine Gloss in Mirrored Mauve.
