Since the Jonas Brothers split, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas have all moved on with their separate lives. They’ve each been working on separate projects for their careers whether it’s music or spending time with family.
The youngest Jonas, Nick, has been working on his solo music career, creating multiple hits such as “Chains,” “Levels,” and “Jealous.” Now, he recently released a new song called “Close” featuring Tove Lo after teasing the song on his Instagram page.
Last week, Nick shared a photo from what seems to be the music video for his upcoming single, showing him singing to a girl.
Last month, Nick revealed that he was working on some new music, saying, “What a year it’s been with some truly incredible moments mixed with some that were harder. i am overjoyed to be gearing up to share all this new music and visuals with you all... More to come on this..”
According to Page Six, Jay Z has been mentoring Nick behind the scenes, and even named his upcoming album, “Last Year Was Complicated.”
Nick told CBS 97.1 AMP that he bonded well with the rapper after Jay Z attended one of his shows.
“He’s been super hands-on,” said Nick, talking about his new album. “I had a title picked out ... ‘Unhinged’ ... [Jay Z] said, ‘I don’t feel like it quite sums up the story you’re telling. Let’s just talk about this year of your life. What’s it been like?’ And I said, ‘Last year was complicated.’ He was like, ‘That’s the title!’”
Nick and Demi Lovato are gearing up to go on their “Future Now” tour together starting this summer, and we can’t wait to hear some of his new songs.
The two muscisians made the announcement on “Good Morning America,” with Jonas explaining: “Demi and I, we’re business partners, obviously have a long history of being friends. But the key for us was about living in this moment. Taking a step out individually over the last year and a half, two years, growing with out fans, and then saying if there’s ever a time to do it, it’s now, to come together and do this tour.”
“I hope we have an incredible time. Not only that, but that our fans enjoy it. That’s the most important thing,” added Lovato.
