"Prison Break," the 2016 revival of Fox's mid-2000s hit series starring Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, will start shooting next week, according to YRVShoots.
The cast and crew of the revival will film nine episodes in Vancouver starting next week until July 5. Miller and Purcell are currently working on "Legends of Tomorrow," which films in Vancouver. The stars' schedule and location are believed to have played a part in the series' shooting location.
The news comes a few days after it was announced that many of the series' original cast members are set to return.
Miller and Purcell will be part of the revival. Sarah Wayne Callies, who negotiated with Fox for a couple of months before signing on, is also confirmed to return. Paul Adelstein, who played Paul Kellerman on the show's original run, will also return to reprise his role.
Robert Knepper (Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell) and Benjamin Miles Franklin ("C-Note") will also reprise their roles. Amaury Nolasco will also return to the show as Sucre.

Apart from the returning cast, newcomers will also be featured on the show. Mark Feuerstein has been cast to play Sara Tancredi's (Callies) new husband. August Prew will play Whip, a funny yet dangerous man, and Rick Yune will play Ja, a Korean identity thief.
As for the plot, fans of the show will remember that Miller's character, Michael Scofield, died during the epilogue. The question of how Scofield will fit into the revival has already been answered. Announcing Callies' return, Fox also revealed how her character will still relate to Scofield.
"When clue surface that Michael may be alive, Sara teams with Lincoln (Purcell) to engineer the series' biggest escape ever."
Fox co-chairman and CEO Dana Walden also teased that the show will have an international setting, saying: "The story unravels on an international landscape — it's not a domestic [plot]. We open on a very international contemporary-feeling story."
"Prison Break" is set to air a 2016-2017 season.
