Now that Ben Higgins is happily engaged to Lauren Bushnell, JoJo Fletcher, who was the runner-up on the season finale, was recently announced as the new “Bachelorette” for 2016.
Fans were excited to hear that Fletcher will be searching for love on the TV show, and it looks like we’re already getting some sneak peeks into this season of “The Bachelorette.”
Just two days after Fletcher was announced as the next bachelorette, she started filming for the new season and we're already getting some details about her search for love.
Fletcher and the contestants apparently headed over to Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania this week for a few fun dates.
According to Post-Gazette, ABC affiliate WTAE revealed that the resort will host this season of “The Bachelorette.” Reports circulated for weeks that the wester Pennsylvania spot would be a location for part of the show.
According to Us Weekly, on March 19, Fletcher enjoyed her first group date.
“The first group date was hot, hot, hot!!! #makeAmericahotagain,” tweeted “The Bachelor” creator Mike Fleiss. “Hot like, en fuego! #makeamericahotagain.”
Fleiss also revealed that Fletcher has already had a total kiss count of “3.5.” He also revealed that Fletcher had already eliminated five guys and shared her first kiss.
“JoJo still has 20 great guys from which to choose. I think she’s gonna find love...” Fletcher tweeted on Thursday. “Today’s update: JoJo and the remaining 20 men are all in bed. Don’t get any crazy ideas. It was a long night. #wrongsideofsunrise.”
However, one of the biggest surprises that fans can expect to happen on the show is Juan Pablo Galavis’ appearance. The former Bachelor from season 18 was welcomed to join Fletcher’s season.
Just before it was announced on “The Bachelor: After The Finale Rose” special on Monday that Fletcher was going to be the next “Bachelorette,” Galavis tweeted that he is not opposed to fighting for her affection.
Galavis wrote that he read “so MANY good things” about Fletcher and that he “MIGHT have to sign up AGAIN.” He later tweeted that he had not actually been watching Higgins’ season, but had seen pictures of Fletcher showing up on his Twitter feed.
“I have READ so MANY good things about JoJo in the past WEEKS that if she is the NEXT bachelorette, I MIGHT have to sign up AGAIN...” tweeted Galavis. [sic]
Galavis later tweeted, “I am #TeamJoJo and I have only SEEN her in like 20 pictures on my TWITTER... #SheCute.”
