Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are one of Bollywood’s most favorite couple and when they are together it is always nothing but smiles and cuteness.
The couple has been very loyal to each other throughout their relationship, and are happy to be celebrating their ninth wedding anniversary today.
Rai and Bachchan got their most special “happy wedding anniversary” wish from their proud father, Amitabh Bachchan.
Amitabh went to his official blog to express his thoughts, writing, “As tomorrow dawns, the wedding bells ring of 9 years of togetherness, for Aishwarya and Abhishek .. a day filled with the joy and happiness that not just confirms to the two that bind themselves in matrimony but for us elders too .. a coming together of families, of affection and oneness! This bond remains with us throughout .. it then flourishes into the next generation that comes along and the next and the next and the next ... Life is perpetual .. it is on going and infinite .. as must life be ..”
The proud parents of little Aaradhya have worked together in many films like “Kuch Naa Kaho,” “Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke,” “Umrai Jaan,” “Raavan” and “Dhoom 2.” However, their most successful one was “Guru,” which is when they fell in love with each other.
According to Filmi Beat, Rai recently gushed about Bachchan during an interview with Times Of India saying, “He’s a really nice guy. The honest truth is that we have always found a beautiful friendship that we share. And that’s what converted into marriage and it’s only grown deeper and deeper with each passing day. What’s wonderful is that we are growing with each other. We share a lot.”
“I communicate a lot and believe immensely in it and he says that he does that most with me,” continued Rai. “He is a very real guy. And I am a very real person. We are both very connected to our reality and to ourselves. I have always called myself a child-woman as everyone saw that giggler in me and all that does exist and yes, Abhishek does fool around but he is also extremely intense.”
Despite having a sudden marriage, Rai revealed that she knew that she was going to be with Bachchan for a long time.
