After being turned down by Kaitlyn Bristowe on the last season of “The Bachelorette,” Ben Higgins finally found his future wife on "The Bachelor." Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are enjoying their life as an engaged couple and are ready to start their future together.
On March 14, we watched Higgins leave Bushnell in tears of joy as he got down on one knee to propose on the season finale of “The Bachelor.”
Now that “The Bachelor” is finally over and it is no longer a mystery as to who Higgins proposed to, the happy couple can publicly post updates about their relationship.
Bushnell and Higgins are already feeling right at home in Denver, taking cooking classes at the Cook Street School of Culinary Arts.
Higgins posted a photo of himself and Bushnell in cooking class on Instagram.
“Found out through cooking school how to make a shroom perfectly golden brown today with my golden gal @lauren_bushnell,” Higgins captioned the photo.
Bushnell, posted the same pic, and added: “Heating it up in the kitchen!”
In the mean time, the couple are still getting used to their new relationship status in the public eye.
“I think most of our days will consist of right now a lot of ‘Us Time,’” said Higgins on the “Today” show. “We need that in the public and just going out to dates and going out to dinner and going grocery shopping is something she really wants to do.”
As far as moving in together, they’ve thought about it and Bushnell will be closer to Higgins.
“She’s moving to Denver [where I live],” said Higgins to Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb. “I could not picture my life without this woman.”
“I’m just excited to grocery shopping together,” said Bushnell to People magazine.
Higgins is also looking forward to the simple things, saying, “I want to hold her hand in public. And I’m excited to work on our house together.”
Bushnell admitted that neither she nor Higgins want a long engagement, and that they’ve already put some thought into their wedding.
“I want a huge reception. How often in life do all your friends and family gather in one room to celebrate something?” said Higgins.
It looks like the two have already come down with baby fever when Higgins revealed, “Lauren is a really good caretaker. She wants a dog and kids. First we’ll get the dog!”
“We want three kids,” added Bushnell. “I want a girl in the mix.”
