Who knew the K-pop group Girls' Generation member Yoona speaks flawless Chinese? Girls' Generation Yoona spilled the beans about filming the Chinese periodical drama "God of War, Zhao Yun” in an interview with Sina, Soompi reported.

In the historical drama, which has been on air since Apr. 3, 2016, Girls' Generation Yoona plays the female lead Xiaiohou Qing Yi

"[The most thrilling scene] was the horseback riding scene. It was a little frightening," Yoona said according to Soompi. When the interviewer said the horse was fake, Yoona blushed and asked the host to keep it a secret, Soompi said.

The reports detailed that Yoona has been learning Chinese since she was in middle school.

Soompi cited a Chinese entertainment industry representative to report that Yoona would receive 3 billion Korean won, or about $2.6 million, for filming the 60-episode-long drama at a rate of 50 million won (about $43,000) per episode.
