New spoilers for "Grimm" season five, episode 16 revealed that Nick Burkhardt is going to fight a wesen preacher who is using his secret identity to gather more followers.
Carter Matt reported that NBC released the official synopsis for "The Believer" and it hinted that Nick is going to face off with the wesen preacher in battle.
However, Nick's mission is going to take an interesting turn and he is going to have to protect the preacher from a group of "true believers" who want to save the man from the so-called demon that allegedly possesses his body.
Meanwhile, Captain Renard is going to try to gain more power with the local government while Eve will use her Hexenbiest powers to gain more access to the wesen rebel group Black Claw.
The promotional trailer for "The Believer" revealed that Nick goes after the wesen preacher because he is using his secret identity to pretend that he is being possessed by a demon.
After the preacher transformed into his wesen form, he then stages an elaborate ritual to make it look like the power of the Christian God managed to defeat the demon that is trying to inhabit his body.
It will be interesting to see if the wesen preacher gives up his stage show after Nick saves his life from the group of "true believers."
SpoilerTV added that NBC also released the official synopsis for "The Taming of the Wu."
Sergeant Drew Wu is going to get bitten by a wesen and winds up becoming entangled in a surprising argument that could land him in hot water.
Meanwhile, Adalind Schade is going to meet a mysterious man named Bonaparte and she is going to have to make a difficult decision that could destroy her relationship with Nick.
Back at Hadrian's Wall, Eve is going to discover a new force that could jeopardize the organization's entire operation.
"Grimm" season five is currently airing on Friday nights at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
