Unfortunately, this is not an April Fool's prank.
After much hype and chatter in fashion circles, celeb-fave designer, Hedi Slimane, has exited his role has creative director of Saint Laurent. The Frenchman's last day of his four-year tenure at the esteemed fashion house was Thursday, as reported by Women's Wear Daily. This comes a day after Cara Delevingne revealed she was the star of the house's fall 2016 ad campaign on Instagram.

In his time at the house, Slimane injected youth and music to the house, with collections inspired by '90s grunge, late '70s disco, and the like. He courted the biggest names in music, like Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, who became huge fans of his clothes. Just this February, he showed a the first half of the brand's fall collection in Los Angeles to a celeb-packed house, including Gaga, Bieber, Elizabeth Olsen, Lily Collins, and lots more. The second half of his collection was presented in Paris last month as a "surprise" couture collection, rife with lamé evening gowns, bold shouldered chubbies, and mini dresses galore.
The rumor mill has it that Anthony Vacarello, king of the high slit, will take Slimane's seat at Saint Laurent. We'll keep you posted but, until then, check out some of Slimane's most memorable moments from the past four years.
