While fans of "Jane the Virgin" have been evenly split between Team Michael and Team Rafael, the cast and crew of the show have been on Team Michael all along.
Jaime Camil and Andrea Navedo, the actors who play Jane's parents Rogelio and Xo, have given their seal of approval on Jane's (Gina Rodriguez) upcoming marriage to Michael (Brett Dier).
Surprisingly, even Justin Baldoni, the actor who plays Rafael Solano, is happy the two are getting married. "I'm team Michael too, don't worry," Baldoni laughingly said.
However, when The Hollywood Reporter asked if the two will finally tie the knot (and consummate their marriage!) before season 2 ends, the cast refused to give out any spoilers.
"That could happen," Dier teased, while Rodriguez added, "We think we're getting married."
The only person who knows what's in store for all the characters is showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman.
"On this show, you have to plan like every inch of it because there are so many, many stories in each episode. You don't want anything to be random and you want it all to come back and wrap around," she said. "We always start the beginning of the season knowing what the last, really, what the finale is going to be."
However, she acknowledged that fans have been eagerly "wanting that wedding. I hear you."
"Jane the Virgin" has been renewed for a third season, and Urman said that she has actually envisioned the show's end already.
"I know the end of the whole series. That last scene I have in my head very specifically," she said. "There is an ending where a lot of things click into place, that's all I'll say, but there's a lot of planning."
As exciting as the thought of Jane finally enjoying sex with someone she loves, Urman earlier told Deadline that the show isn't really focused on Jane's virginity, since they want to highlight the "story about mothers and daughters."
"Jane the Virgin" season 2 airs every Monday on The CW.
