"Jill & Jessa: Counting On" was to be a happy return to TV for the once-beloved Duggar clan, but the experience has been anything but as advertisers pull their spots as Josh Duggar's return continues to compromise the family.

Despite high ratings, the show continues to flounder in the public eye.

Many advertisers have decided that they do not want to be associated with Josh Duggar and his family, even though the reality star sought help in a treatment facility for six months.

Josh Duggar admitted himself for help in treating his longstanding sexual addictions. He is currently back home with his wife and family and attempting to repair his relationships with them.

InTouch Weekly published a list of the companies who have chosen to opt out of advertising on the TLC show, including Wrigley, Cici's Pizza, The UPS Store, and Verizon Wireless, among others.

Many of the companies made statements that said they would not support any show which starred any member of the Duggar family.

One such company was CiCi's Pizza.

The chain released a statement to InTouch Weekly which read, " Cici's prides itself on being a family-friendly restaurant. We recently made a large advertising buy on cable television that spanned several networks but did not target any particular program."

"When we learned one of our ads was placed adjacent to controversial programming, we took immediate action to stop it," said the representative.

In lieu of advertising, TLC has begun to air promos which advertise the other shows on their network.

With no advertising to support the series, TLC just may withdraw the series after season one concludes.

Rumor has it that the clan does not want to lose the extra income the show provides.

The Duggar family pockets $25,000 to $40,000 for four or five days' work, which is roughly how long it takes to film a typical episode according to E!

In Touch Magazine also spoke to media expert David Johnson, CEO of Strategic Visions.

He explained that "The Duggars are radioactive right now," he says. "People will see that this new show is just a desperate ploy by the Duggars to reclaim the spotlight and hopefully make some dollars off the public."

"Jill & Jessa: Counting On" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
