Tammy Rivera is back on "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" season five. If you caught the latest episode of the VH1 reality series, then you know her return has already come with a new beef.
The last time we saw Tammy, she was caught up in the middle of drama with cast mates Rasheeda and Kelena Harper. This time around she's at the epicenter of mayhem with new co-star Betty Idol.
On LHHATL episode two, Tammy met newbies D. Smith and Betty Idol for lunch. Although their meeting started out friendly, things took a drastic turn for the worse after Betty tried to insinuate Tammy's husband, rapper Waka Flocka Flame, wasn't supportive of the LGBTQ community.
Their meeting ended with Tammy attacking Betty, and after watching the designer's latest interview with VH1, it's pretty clear that this may not be the only time Tammy wilds out on Betty.
"Walking into the meeting to meet D. Smith and seeing Betty Idol there -- first of all I didn't know who she was... wasn't expecting her to be there -- and still I was inviting and warm and complimented her. It was great to have a little luncheon or dinner and meet new people," Tammy explained in the newly released VH1 clip.
"The fact that she touched on my husband's interview was none of her business. I didn't have to explain the situation. I had nothing to hide, nor does my husband. But when she kept on beating at it and beating at it and I kept trying to be professional and mature. I can take the attack on myself, because people talk about me all the time. But when it comes to my family I'm very protective, and I feel like she was making an attack on my husband's career by trying to make him seem like a homophobic."
Although Tammy was only trying to protect her husband from Betty's slander, Waka's wife said she wasn't proud of her behavior.
"I was disappointed in myself for even getting frustrated and angry and snapping out the way I did, but I'm human too," Tammy said.
Despite her disappointment, Tammy doesn't seem to be interested in playing nicely with Betty going forward.
"I just think she's irrelevant. When I googled her I was confused. I'm still confused. I mean did you just want to try and come up on TV and use me to come up? You understand what I'm saying?" Tammy asked. "I just felt like she was just trying to get some camera time, and I mean she got it."
Looks like LHHATL just got their newest set of enemies.
