When Cardi B first revealed her plans to marry her jailbird boyfriend Tommy on "Love & Hip Hop" season six, fans had a mouthful to say about it.
However, that hasn't stopped the reality beauty from moving forward with her wedding plans, because she and Tommy are now officially engaged.
The "Gangsta B***h Music" rapper recently took to her Twitter to announce her engagement, and she definitely sounds pretty excited to make that trip down the alter even if it is inside a jailhouse.
I got my marriage papers through the mail and Tommy ask me to marry him & I said yes ..but I think he giving me my ring on Saturday _____

Initially Tommy, who is reportedly serving jail time for a weapons charge, popped the question to Cardi in the midst of being sentenced to prison. It wasn't until after the Bronx native's fiancé was already in jail when he finally had marriage papers drawn up and mailed out to the reality star.
Cardi's sister Hennessy and a slew of fans weren't thrilled when she first hinted at tying the knot with Tommy while he was still behind bars, and in true Cardi fashion she completely shut down haters and their opinions right away.
The LHH star is doing the same thing now.
When a fan commented on Cardi's engagement news stating that the "Forever" rapper was acting like she was "desperate to be a wife," Cardi didn't hesitate to clap back.

No word on when Tommy will be released from jail or when exactly Cardi plans on making the trip to the big house to have a wedding.
Nonetheless, we're happy that Cardi's following her heart and marrying the man she loves.
