After being in some of the hottest Bollywood movies, Priyanka Chopra has made her way into the Hollywood scene with the new ABC hit series “Quantico.”
Not only has she booked a role in her first Hollywood movie, “Baywatch,” which also stars Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson, but she also is doing a voiceover in the Hindi version of “The Jungle Book.”
Fans of the Disney movie, “The Jungle Book,” will get to hear Chopra’s voice as the villainous snake Kaa in the real-life movie. The role has gained her a lot of praise, but she revealed that she almost missed the part.
Chopra, who is busy shooting for her TV series “Quantico” in Montreal, said that she managed to fit in time from her busy schedule to voice her favorite character from “The Jungle Book.”
“I was very excited to do ‘The Jungle Book.’ I almost missed out the opportunity to voice it because of the date issues. I was not able to do it because the film was about to release. I was in Montreal shooting for ‘Qunatico’ and that month was quite hectic for me as ‘Baywatch’ also happened the same month,” said Chopra according to Zee News.
The head of Disney India, Siddharth Roy Kapur wanted Chopra to do the voiceover and apparently called her to voice the part.
“Sidharth called me and asked, ‘You have to do it and I don’t know how you will.’ I also desperately wanted to do it. He delayed the shooting by a week. So, that’s how I got the opportunity to do it,” said Chopra. “I am excited that the film opened so well. And I am lucky that I could do Kaa because it’s very interesting.”
