Rani Mukerji and filmmakers Aditya Chopra finally got married in April 2014 after a lot of speculation about their relationship. The couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony and now it looks like they’re ready to start a family.
Previous reports have been circulating that Mukerji was pregnant with her first child, but now the actress has finally given birth to a baby girl. Mukerji and Chopra both welcomed little Adira on the morning of Dec. 9, 2015 at the Breach Candy hospital.
Many celebrities including Preity Zinta and Karan Johar wish Mukerji and Chopra on becoming new parents. Now the couple are inviting their Bollywood friends to visit little Adira.
Mukerji and Chopra sent invitations to their close friends to visit Adira, and the invite was an adorable setup. A bunch of pink flowers, a balloon, pink teddy bear, a sign that said Adira Chopra and other goodies sat in a white and pink cradle.
Ayesha Shroff, wife of Jackie Shroff, is one of the people who received the invitation and posted the picture of the baby announcement.
Aamir Khan previously gave his best wishes and did something really sweet for the family.
Khan, who is currently filming for “Dangal,” took it upon himself to make sure that his cast and crew didn’t miss out on the Chopra family celebrations. The actor reportedly distributed sweets among the cast and crew of the film, order to celebrate little Adira’s arrival.
Khan’s representative confirmed the news, saying that the moment Khan found out about the birth of Adira, he treated the people on the sets to sweets.
Ever since Khan and Mukerji were first seen together in the film “Ghulam,” they’ve become good friends and later starred in “Talaash” together as well.
Previously, a few pictures have been leaked of Shahrukh Khan’s wife, Gauri, visiting Mukerji and the baby at the hospital. Guari was spotted there alone while SRK was busy with “Dilwale” promotions.
According to Bollywood Life, the couple revealed that they decided to name her using the combination of their names, Rani and Aditya.
Soon after the baby’s arrival, Mukerji released an official statement saying, “I would like to thank all my well wishers and fans. Today life has given us God’s greatest gift with Adira. We thank fans our friends and well wishers for their unconditional support and blessings. With joy we begin this new chapter in our lives.”
Rishi Kapoor was one of the first ones to congratulate Mukerji and Chopra on their new addition to the family by tweeting, “Rani and Aditya Chopra become proud parents to a baby girl named Adira. Congratulations!”
