After a great success with “Ram Leela,” “Bajirao Mastani” and “Gunday,” Ranveer Singh has become one of the hottest actors in the Bollywood industry.
Singh is already one of the most highest paid actors in Hindi films, but he is reportedly raising his price per film, making himself just as pricey as Shahrukh Khan.
According to Filmi Beat, Singh hiked up his fees for the performances after the success of “Bajirao Mastani.” The actor is apparently charging double the amount now for singing films and endorsements.
“Ranveer charged 2 crore ($.301 million), a little less than what Shahrukh Khan charges, for every stage performance. And since he performed at almost every stage performance this season, you can easily figure out how much money he accrued through his live shows at the awards this year,” said a source to Bollywood Life. “Ranveer’s equity has shot through the sky after his film beat the collections of Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Dilwale.’”
Previous reports stated that SRK and Singh were coming together for a new film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. If reports are true, then we can only imagine how pricey and high scale this movie will be.
According to Bollywood Life, SRK, Singh will be coming together for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next production, which will be directed by Shimit Amin.
Although this would be SRK and Singh’s first time doing a film together, this will be Amin’s second time directing SRK and first time with Singh.
Seeing SRK and Singh together in one film definitely calls for an epic collaboration since they are two of the hottest Bollywood stars in the industry. Singh is on a hight of his career after his great performance in “Ram Leela” and “Bajirao Mastani,” both which starred Deepika Padukone. However, he is currently busy filming for “Befikre” in Paris.
