New spoilers for "The Vampire Diaries" season seven suggested that Caroline Forbes could end her engagement to Alaric Saltzman and get back together with her former flame Stefan Salvatore.
SpoilerTV reported that the CW released the official synopsis for episode 20, which is titled "Kill 'Em All."
The episode is going to revolve around Damon teaming up with Enzo in order to save Bonnie's life before her condition worsens.
With so little time to waste, a reluctant Stefan also teams up with Matt to save Bonnie and the two have a heart-to-heart discussion in which the latter reveals the reason why he hates vampires.
Caroline is also going to return and she attempts to save her best friend's life by going on a secret mission with her fiancé Alaric.
Unfortunately, Damon's plan takes a wrong turn and he is forced into making a fateful decision that will forever change his relationship with Bonnie.
It is possible that Damon will be unable to find a cure for Bonnie's condition and he decides to turn her into a vampire in order to save her life.
Aside from the possibility of Bonnie becoming a vampire in episode 20, there's also a good chance Caroline will rekindle her romance with Stefan.
TVLine added that Caroline is going to realize in episode 20 how much she missed her former supernatural lifestyle, which could put her at odds with Alaric since he's adamant on living a normal life.
The former couple are also going to face a new threat in episode 21 that forces them to make an impulsive decision and face the fallout from their previous relationship.
It is possible that the two characters will have a heart-to-heart about their issues and resume their relationship by the end of episode 21.
"The Vampire Diaries" season seven is currently airing on Friday nights at 8 p.m. on the CW.
