Today, Thursday, April 21, is The Queen's 90th birthday and Buckingham Palace has released another family portrait to celebrate the momentous occasion. The picture was taken by famed American photographer, Annie Leibovitz and shows a relaxed Monarch sitting with great-granddaughter, Princess Charlotte on her lap, surrounded by her two youngest grandchildren and her other four great-grandchildren. Mia Tindall, daughter of Zara Phillips, cheekily stole the Queen's handbag, holding it in both of her tiny fists, and unwittingly, stole the show!
Who's who in the Queen's birthday portrait from left to right:
James, Viscount Severn, the eight-year-old second child of the Queen's youngest child, Prince Edward and wife, Sophie, known as the Earl and Countess of Wessex. James is currently tenth in line to the throne.
Lady Louise Alice Elizabeth Mary Mountbatten-Windsor, the eldest child of the Earl and Countess of Wessex and James's sister.
Louise, 12, is 11th in line to the throne.
Mia Tindall, is the two-year-old daughter of Zara Phillips and her England rugby player husband Mike Tindall. Zara is the daughter of the Queen's second child and only daughter, Princess Anne.
Princess Charlotte, sitting on the Queen’s lap, is of course the daughter of Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. William is the son of the Queen's eldest child, Prince Charles. Charlotte is fourth in line to the throne.
Savannah Phillips, elder daughter of Peter Phillips and his Canadian wife Autumn, is the eldest of the Queen’s great-grandchildren and 14th in line to the throne. Savannah, five, was not given any title at birth at the request of her parents. Peter Phillips is the son of the Queen's only daughter, Princess Anne.
Prince George, two, is the heir of the heir of the heir. His father is Prince William whose own father is Prince Charles, the eldest son of The Queen.
According to the Daily Mail, the Queen will officially mark her birthday with a walkabout in Windsor and an evening event with Prince Charles in which she will light the first of 1,000 beacons.
This will be followed by a private dinner at the castle for 60 of her closest friends and relatives, thrown by the Prince of Wales.
