The much-anticipated Collateral Beauty trailer is finally here, and it is something. Imagine you lose a child (I know that's awful, sorry). Now imagine you find a support group (hey, that's better). Now imagine your support group includes Michael Peña and Kate Winslet and Edward Norton (things are looking up). And as part of your healing process, you have to write letters—but instead of writing letters to lost loved ones, you write them to abstract ideas like Time and Love and Death. Oh, and you are Will Smith.
Got it? OK, here's where things get crazy: Now imagine that Time and Love and Death are not only people, but they are movie stars. And they answer your letters in person. They come to talk to you and teach you life lessons! It's like Bruce Almighty, but, well, sad.
Watch, below, and try to guess at the significance of the dominoes. (They mean something, right? Right?)
Collateral Beauty hits theaters on December 16. To tide you over until then, check out these other films that are too good to miss.
