"High School Musical" alum Ashley Tisdale revealed that she would be ready to take on a role in the iconic musical "Hairspray" when it comes to live television later this year on NBC.
"I'd have to obviously stay open to [the idea]," said Tisdale of taking on a role in the fun musical to Entertainment Tonight.
The pressures of a live musical are something that the actress would have to wrap her head around.
"I mean, Vanessa's (Hudgens) doing 'Grease' and I am like, 'girl, that's so much pressure!'" she shared.
"With sitcoms it's in front of a live audience, but you're able to go back and, like, redo it if you mess up," Tisdale said to the entertainment news show.
The actress, who is also a singer, is currently working on some new music of her own.
"I have some ideas, but I'm just in the studio kind of feeling out where my voice is," Tisdale shared of her musical journey.
"Right now I'm just trying to figure out what kind of music I want to do and where I fit in."
The actress is currently enjoying her time out of the glare of the spotlight as a newleywed. Tisdale is married to Christopher French. The two wed in Sept. of 2014, according to People.
Although she loves the idea of creating a family of her own with French, Tisdale remarked that the patter of little feet is not in her immediate future.
"I'm not having kids anytime soon!" Tisdale told ET.
According to the actress, the only baby she's interesting in producing right now is on the small screen.
"I think one of my main priorities right now is producing a TV show for myself and doing a character that I love," said Tisdale.
Ashley Tisdale Tisdale was named creative director of Signorelli. She will be overseeing the creation of their spring 2017 sportswear line.
