"Outlander" author Diana Gabaldon recently slammed "Game of Thrones" author George R.R. Martin for missing his deadline for "The Winds of Winter." Plus, Sam Heughan recently sat down to discuss what is in store for Jamie Fraser in the upcoming second season.
During STARZ's "Deadline.
"No. Unlike George, I write no matter where I am or what I'm doing," she explained. "Everyone has their process. He likes to travel and can't write when he travels. I write when I travel. Plus, I know they can actually get it from the manuscript to bookstores in about five weeks, because they do."
Aside from Gabaldon's snarky remark about the sixth "Game of Thrones" book, Heughan recently sat down to talk about "
The Scottish actor hinted that Jamie is going to have post-traumatic stress disorder from the events of season one, reports Variety.
"Even though Jamie is still affected by his trauma from the first season, time is a great healer," the actor said. "He puts his whole body and soul into the mission to change history. Also, a great revelation helps Jamie finally find peace in season two."
Heughan added that it is going to be difficult for Jamie and Claire to get used to political intrigue at the French court.
"The danger in Paris and Versailles is less physical with swords and weaponry," he explained. "It's more politics and backstabbing and poison. It's more hidden. There's a lot more politics at work and a lot more danger. Then we go back to Scotland, where we go back to the blood, mud and gore."
