(Photo : Disney) Johnny Depp, who stars as The Mad Hatter in "Alice Through the Looking Glass," recently took aim at Donald Trump while speaking to students at Arizona State University.

"Alice Through the Looking Glass" star Johnny Depp took aim at presidential candidate Donald Trump while speaking with students at Arizona State University, calling the Republican frontrunner "a brat" and "a bully."

According to a report by Variety, Depp spoke out against Trump while addressing students during a conversation with Arizona State's Origins Project founder Lawrence Krauss, about "humanity in madness" on March 12.

"It's not just about being a rich kid or anything like that. I approached Donald Trump as what you kind of see in him when you really watch him. There's a pretense," explained the movie star.

"There's something created about him in the sense of bullydom. But what he is, I believe, is a brat," said Depp.

His comments drew laughs from the audience, as reported by Variety.

"Also the absurdity of where his sentences might travel. ... Reagan back in the day, 'Mr. Gorbachev, tear down that wall!' Donald Trump, 'I'm going to build a wall. And all of my billions are not going to have to pay for it. Because you know why? Mexico is going to pay for it,'" Depp added.

Depp recently portrayed the millionaire in a "Funny or Die" skit.

The website released a movie spoof set in the 1980s starring Depp as Trump.

The film called "The Art of the Deal" stars, according to Variety, Patton Oswalt as Merv Griffin, Jack McBrayer as Der Scutt (Trump's architect), Alfred Molina as Jerry Schrager, Henry Winkler as New York City Mayor Ed Koch, Michaela Watkins as Ivana Trump and Jacob Tremblay ("Room").

Jeremy Konner directed the film.

After its release, Konner told EW that Depp brought his own hair and makeup team to the shoot.

It took almost four hours of makeup and prosthetics to transform him into Trump.

Depp can be seen as The Mad Hatter in "Alice Through the Looking Glass" when the film is released nationwide on May 27, 2016.
