"Allegiant," the third film in the "Divergent" series, is set to hit theaters in less than two weeks.
Fans of Shailene Woodley as Beatrice "Tris" Prior and Theo James as Tobias "Four" Eaton are already excited to see the film. If you are, however, not a fan of Veronica Roth's book series and its film counterparts but are interested in seeing the upcoming movie, here are a few reviews that might help you decided whether to line up in theaters for it or not.
"The locations change and the characters each get a new tattoo, but there's nothing very divergent about 'Allegiant,'" according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Yet even passable performances can hardly dispel the kitsch level of this third installment, especially with a finale whose major plot device looks like it was lifted from an episode of the old 'Batman' TV series ... [For] a film that takes great pride in its heroine's nonconformism, pretty much everything in 'Allegiant' feels conventional."

Variety is also unimpressed with the movie, but is hopeful that the last installment will redeem the series.
"Maybe the fourth film will recover what made Tris such a unique heroine, althoug in contrast with the divided last chapters of 'Harry Potter' and 'The Hunger Games,' there's no epic villain for us spend the intervening year rooting against," the review said.
The Wrap, on the other hand, says the film is very reminiscent of the first. The review concluded, "Indeed, the drive to divvy up one book into two films results in a narrative that is two parts set-up and no part payoff ... 'Allegiant' ends up feeling like a mid-season climax to [a] serialized TV drama."
Catch "Allegiant" when it hits theaters March 18.
