ABC released the official synopsis for "Castle" season eight, episode 15 and it hinted that Kate Beckett is going to hunt down a killer who targeted a recruit officer from the NYPD Academy.
Carter Matt reported that "Fidelis Ad Mortem" is going to air on March 21 and will focus on the death of a recruit officer at the NYPD Academy.
When Kate Beckett hears about the recruit officer's passing, she gathers her team and they return to their old training grounds in order to hunt down the killer.
Meanwhile, Rick Castle will be forced to reckon with a decision that is going to have profound consequences for himself and his wife Kate.
It is possible that Rick is thinking about breaking up with Kate for good in order to stay safe from LokSat's wrath.
However, there is also the chance that Rick will throw caution to the wind and tell Kate that he wants to help her investigate LokSat and see if they can find out the criminal's true identity.
There is also a chance that "Castle" fans will have the opportunity to see flashbacks to Kate's past at the NYPD Academy during "Fidelis Ad Mortem."
Perhaps as Kate and the others investigate the recruit officer's death and make a list of the possible suspects, there will be a few scenes where they recall some of their own experiences at the Academy.
Aside from Kate and the others returning to the Academy in order to catch a killer, "General Hospital's" Maurice Benard and "The Single Guy" star Jonathan Silverman are going to guest star in episode 19.
TVLine reported that Silverman is going to play a character named Alan Masters, who is the sole survivor of an attempted murder who goes on to help Rick and Kate catch a killer.
Benard also shared a photo on Instagram that shows the actor posing with Silverman and "Castle" star Nathan Fillion, but no details about his role have been revealed just yet.
"Castle" season eight will return on Monday, March 21, at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
