The CW recently released a new clip for "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" that hinted at an interesting connection with the now-cancelled show "Smallville."
Comic Book Resources reported that the clip for episode eight revolved around Sara Lance going undercover as a nurse in the 1950s.
The team had tracked Vandal Savage to a small town in Oregon where he was posing as a doctor. Upon their arrival, they discovered that there has been a string of recent murders and Rip Hunter immediately suspects that Vandal is involved somehow.
In order to figure out Vandal's plan, Sara and Dr. Martin Stein agree to infiltrate the hospital while Ray Palmer and Kendra Saunders pretend to be a married couple in an attempt to find out relevant information from the townsfolk.
The preview for "Night of the Hawk" hinted that Sara is going to meet a nurse named Lindsay at the hospital and it is clear that there is some romantic tension between the two characters.
Coming Soon added that the new clip for "Night of the Hawk" also teased an interesting crossover with "Smallville."
While going undercover as a nurse, Sara finds out that Vandal Savage is posing as a doctor called "Curtis Knox."
In "Smallville," Dean Cain played an immortal villain named Curtis Knox and the showrunners admitted that he was supposed to be Vandal Savage, but they did not get clearance from the studio to use the name.
Aside from the nod to "Smallville," SpoilerTV reported that Marc Guggenheim recently released the title for "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" episode 15 on Twitter.
"Destiny" was written by the show's executive producer Phil Klemmer and Chris Fedak; the episode is also going to be directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi.
"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" is currently airing on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. on the CW.
