We can barely contain our excitement at the new that NBC is filming a pilot for a TV update of the sexy 1999 film "Cruel Intentions." The drama series will take place 15 years after the events of the steamy film, which starred Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Ryan Phillippe and was based on the 18th century novel "Dangerous Liaisons." Sam Smith Celebrates Oscar Win At The Abbey
On Monday night, Sam Smith arrived at The Abbey Food & Bar in West Hollywood around 11:30 p.m. to celebrate his Oscar win with a group of friends and The Abbey's drag queens. Known for being somewhat of a regular at The Abbey's Drag Show, Lip Service, Smith was ready to celebrate after closing out award season with a Golden Globe and an Oscar under his belt.
Despite recent backlash for his comments while accepting the Academy Award, Smith was in high spirits as the table he occupied drank Grey Goose all night and eagerly interacted with fans. Even after admitting he hated every minute of his Oscar performance, Smith was nothing but smiles as he occupied a table with friends. Drag queen, Vicki Vox was even spotted flirting with Sam from the stage during her "Boy is a Bottom" number, and also thanked Sam for taking a stand in his acceptance speech. Sam and his crew left around 1:30 a.m., right before last call.
