Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo of the K-drama series "Descendants Of The Sun" might have had a rough startover in Uruk, but they realized at the end that they've had feelings for each other the whole time.
On the KBS K-drama series "Descendants Of The Sun," episode 4, which aired on Mar. 3, 2016, Yoo Shi Jin (Song Joong Ki) and Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye Kyo) met again in Uruk eight months after they broke up. It was obvious that Yoo still had feelings for her. She seemed cold to him, though, and the two bickered about work and other things.
On episode 4, Yoo helped Kang operate on an Arab chairman. Later that night, the two met in private.
"I wanted to have a drink and watch a movie with you," Kang told Yoo, mentioning the movie they never watched eight months ago. "I never watched it, because I wanted to watch it with someone. To me that movie meant you," she said, and he kissed her immediately after.
"The Descendants Of The Sun" is Song Hye Kyo's first K-drama in four years and Song Joong Ki's first since he returned from serving in the military. The melodrama, which is written by "The Heirs" scriptwriter, chronicles the lives of young soldiers in Uruk, which is an imaginary country at war. In addition to Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, actors Kim Ji Won, Onew (SHINee) and Jin Goo star in the drama.
"Descendants Of The Sun" airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 pm KST on KBS.
